Super Junior To Release Japanese Version of "Bonamana"

Super Junior akan merilis versi Jepang dari hit single mereka 'Bonamana' pada 18 Mei (digital), 8 Juni (CD). Versi baru ini diberi judul 'Bijin' dan akan menjadi theme song untuk CM toko Jepang.

Dimulai tanggal 17 Mei, CM toko Jepang 'Circle K Sunkus', featuring Super Junior dan lagu baru mereka 'Bijin', akan on air.

Satu hari setelahnya, yaitu 18 Mei, lagu tersebut sudah bisa di download, menjadikannya Japanese digital single Super Junior yang pertama. Terakhir, CD'nya akan dirilis pada 8 Juni.

'Bijin' adalah versi Jepang dari lagu hit Korea mereka 'Bonamana', yang berarti 'beauty' dalam kedua bahasa tersebut.

Di CM nanti, mereka akan mempromosikan makanan Korea seperti onigiri dengan bulgogi, tuna kimchi mayo dan yang lainnya, akan tersedia di toko-toko 'Circle K Sunkus' dari tanggal 17 Mei sampai 13 Juni.

Cosplay Mania Afflicts 30% of Japanese Women

A survey has revealed unexpectedly high levels of interest in cosplay among Japanese women, with some 30% having either tried it or wanting to try it.
The online survey was conducted by market research firm iShare, and asked 565 Japanese men and women aged 20-40 about their attitudes to cosplay.
When both genders were asked whether they had an interest in cosplay, 9.9% answered they would like to try, 8.3% had actually tried it, and 28.5% were interested in watching it but not cosplaying themselves, making for a total of 46.7% with an interest.
However, amongst women the numbers were higher, with 13.6% interested in trying, and 14.7% actually having tried it. Younger women were even more interested, with 15.8% wanting to try amongst those in their twenties.
17.5% of those interested listed anime and manga as the theme of cosplay they would most like to undertake, after which came kigurumi (almost certainly referring to cartoon character suits) with 14.7%, maid and waitress uniforms (12.4%) and military uniforms (also 12.4%).
Top anime subjects for cosplay were Haruhi, Fullmetal Alchemist, as well as visual-kei bands like L’Arc en Ciel.
Although many Japanese women are quick to condemn men for having an interest in anime-interest cosplay, it seems many are interested in trying themselves…

SM Entertainment Akan Membangun Sebuah Taman Hiburan

 
  
Bayangkan condominium (suatu kumpulan unit dalam struktur atau bangunan) bernama BoA dan TVXQ, atau zona bintang dimana SNSD mengadakan fanmeet. Dan ini akan segera menjadi kenyataan di “M City PFV”.

Pada 26 April, terungkap bahwa Taman Hiburan khusus K-pop akan dibangun oleh Fides Development dan SM Entertainment. Ini akan dipasarkan sebagai kesatuan yang unik antara pengembangan properti dan hiburan, tema taman bertujuan untuk mempromosikan budaya visual dan pariwisata hiburan.

Sampai sekarang, pengembangan properti hanya masih dalam pertimbangan, dan ini adalah pertama kalinya industri hiburan mengambil andil dalam pengembangan properti.

Proyek pertama akan dimulai pada area 35.894 meter persegi di Saejae district dan diharapkan akan selesai pada tahun depan. Area properti seluas 888.186 meter persegi akan menjadi rumah bagi kompleks multi-unit untuk promosi pariwisata budaya visual dan akan berlokasi di tiga district yang berbeda.

Selain condominium dan zona bintang, fitur penting lain dari taman termasuk studio dalam ruangan, spa, taman air, ruang perform dan banyak lagi.

FunFacts: It's All About Korean Entertainment!

1. Di Korea, mau jadi artis itu ga gampang. Ada 2 syarat utama: tampang dan skill. Tapi skill itu yang nomor 1, karena penampilan bisa diubah.

2. Sekedar info: SM-Ent biasanya nyari 'calon artisnya' yg mukanya fresh, rambutnya bagus, giginya putih, dan double eyelids.

3. Kalo mau di trainee jadi artis manajemen tertentu biasanya ada 3 tahap audisi yang harus dilalui.

4. Umur 'calon artis' yg dicari biasanya antara 12-17tahun, dengan waktu trainee yg panjang tapi sesuai sih sama hasilnya.

5. Untuk para trainer (calon artis yg belum debut), semua kebutuhan ditanggung manajemen, tapi pas udah debut biasanya sistem pembagian hasilnya kurang fair, lebih banyak ke pihak manajemen (itungannya bayar biaya selama si artis di trainee gitu).

6. 3 Manajemen besar di Korea: JYP Entertainment, YG Entertainment, SM Entertainment.

7. Penyanyi Korea yg masih muda-muda (kayak K-Pop group gitu) disebut IDOL disana.

8. Kalo grup-grup yang baru debut disebut 'rookie group' dan biasanya ga terlalu digubris sama orang Korea.

Menurut Korean fans, bukan fans beneran kalo ga bela-belain beli album idol favorite mereka krn masuk Korean chart penting bgt!

19. Di Korea, ga cuma anak muda yg demen K-Pop, kalo lagi fanmeeting jangan kaget tiba" liat ahjumma / ibu-ibu ikutan ngantri.

20. Org Korea cinta bgt sama budaya mereka, dan artis"nya dlm kesempatan yg pas diwajibkan mempromosikan apa aja ttg Korea.

21. Kalo di SM audisi menuntut skill dan fisik. Tapi kalo di JYP, selain 2 hal tersebut, nilai rapot juga ikut menentukan lolos / tidaknya. Waktu mau audisi di JYP mereka wajib menunjukan rapot mereka dan harus ranking! Misalnya udah lolos audisi di JYP, tapi beberapa waktu kemudian nilai rapotnya turun drastis, bakal dapet peringatan. Setelah dapat peringatan dan nilai rapot tetap rendah, maka siap-siap dikeluarin deh dari JYP!

22. Di Korea pernah ada pepatah, "Kalau kamu ga bisa sukses dibawah SM Ent, berarti di bawah manajemen manapun ga akan pernah sukses".

23. Persaingan para idol di Korea itu kuat banget loh! Makanya mereka ga takut buat oplas sana-sini biar ga kalah saingan. Ga jarang ada artis yg bunuh diri karena ga mampu bersaing dengan artis-artis lainnya (O_o)'

1. Supportive: fans yg supportif terhadap artis favoritnya. Biasanya mereka membeli CD, tiket konser, dan menghadiri fanmeet. Fans tipe supportive ini kalo di Korea cenderung dibilang fans yg miskin dan pelit! Jadi menurut Korean fans kalo sekedar beli CD, tiket konser, dll itu bukan pengorbanan besar, itu standar bgt (~~.)

2. Informed: fans yg selalu menggali ttg idolnya. Jadi kalo ditanya mulai dr hal PALING kecil dia pasti tau semua! Informed fans biasanya menghabiskan waktu mereka dgn berkutat di internet, sibuk di cafe (fanbase) buat nyari info ttg idol mrk.

3. Patient: fans tipe ini adalah fans yg setia. Mereka bakal nonton konser APAPUN dan DIMANAPUN yg ada artis favorit mereka. Fans tipe patient ini bakal nonton konser sekalipun artis fave mereka cuma tampil ga lebih dari 1 menit! Patient fans juga punya kemampuan yg ga bisa dikalahkan dalam urusan mengamankan tempat yg susah didapat di suatu konser. Jadi patient fans ini selalu dapet spot yg bagus buat ngeliatin artis favorit mereka di konser" manapun, ga bakal bisa ditandingi!

6. Project Managers: ini tipe fans yg kaya dan powerful! Ga jarang mereka datengin artis favorit untuk private party mereka!

7. Pseudo-Press: fans ini biasanya pura2 jadi pers / wartawan biar bisa ikutan ng'wawancarain idol mereka! Fans tipe Pseudo-Press pastinya punya koneksi yg luas. Kalo ga, mana mungkin dia bisa asal masuk pas press-conference.

8. Trendies: fans tipe ini biasanya walaupun ga ngefans sama artis tertentu, kalo lg tren mereka juga ikutan mantengin artis tsb. Trendies ga sok tau ttg artis tsb! Mereka ngaku mereka ga suka, tapi ga jarang mereka ngikutin gaya rambut/fashion artis tsb.

9. Secret: tipe fans yg low profile. Sukanya nyebarin berita/video/foto di forum tp tanpa identitas diri yg jelas, jadi rahasia gt.

SHINee Key's Art was sent for an Art Exhibition

SHINee’s Key (actual name Kim Ki Bum) is exhibiting 16 works of art at the Boutique Monaco Art Gallery. His exhibition is titled “Boo Gi Woo Gi Astronomy Exploration” and is a joint project with his uncle architect Kim Dong Hee.

Key has always been known for being artistic, and this exhibition was the perfect opportunity to display his creativity. Before he debuted as part of SHINee, he used to be a water skier. Key is obviously a multi-talented star who has been blessed with both creativity and athleticism.

Below are some of his artwork that has been sent for the art exhibit.

Jang Geun Suk selected as the main Japanese model for “Nature Republic”

Hallyu actor Jang Geun Seuk was recently selected to be the official model for "Nature Republic".

Thanks to his soaring popularty in Japan, Jang Geun Seuk will be promoting as the main Japanese model for the make-up brand for the next year.

A representative revealed, “With both talent and star potential, Jang Geun Suk has been rising as the latest Hallyu star with the popularity of his drama, ‘You’re Handsome‘, which recently began airing in Japan. His wholesome, pure image fit well with our brand’s image, which is why we came to choose him.”

Jang Geun Suk commented, “I’m very glad and honored to be chosen as a model for the brand.”

Starting April 20th, fans can look out for advertisements through Nature Republic’s Japanese homepage.

f(x) Reveals The "Lollipop" Collaboration with SHINee!

After the release of f(x)'s Pinocchio album today, one of the tracks which has been brought up as a huge topic is f(x)'s collaboration with their senior from SM Entertainment, SHINee.

f(x) previously have a song named 'Lollipop' but this has a different feeling to it. Each member of SHINee sang a verse of the song, displaying their cute-ness to the song and they displayed their vocal well, in a nice collaboration together with their junior, f(x). Being close to each other, Key and Amber also displayed their rap in a interesting way which attracts you to the song.

This music brings you to a different world, being cute and rhythmic, this is definitely a song in f(x)'s album that you shouldn't miss!

Big Bang Reveals Japanese Version of "Tonight"

The music video for the Japanese version of "Tonight" has been released on YG's official YouTube channel. Besides Japanese, the new version also includes more English parts.


Big Bang will soon be starting their activities in Japan. Therefore they've now unveiled the Japanese version of their hit single "Tonight" on YG Entertainment's official YouTube channel.
The song will be included in the group's second Japanese album "BIGBANG 2", out on May 11th.

Supermodel Kim Yuri Commits Suicide

Supermodel Kim Yuri has committed suicide at the age of twenty-two. Her funeral and wake are currently at the planning stage.


"No matter how I think of it... even if I think it 100 times over... I'm the only person in this world", have been the last words of Kim Yuri that she wrote on her mini-homepage.


Kim Yuri was born in 1989 and attended Hanshin University before debuting as model. She modelled for various high fashion events such as the "Seoul Collection" and "Daegu Collection".


Today the 22-years-old model was reported to have committed suicide by swallowing poison. Although she was rushed to Seoul Medical Centre right after it had been discovered that she'd taken poison, doctors couldn't save her.


Her funeral and wake are still at the planning stages.

"Tidak peduli bagaimana saya memikirkan tentang itu... bahkan jika saya memikirikannya 100 kali lebih... Saya satu-satunya orang di dunia ini", kata-kata terakhir Yuri yang ia tulis di homapage mini-nya.


Kim Yuri lahir tahun 1989 dan kuliah di Universitas Hanshin sebelum debut sebagai model. Dia menjadi model untuk acara-acara fashion kelas tinggi seperti "Seoul Collection" dan "Daegu Collection".


Hari ini, model 22 tahun tersebut dilaporkan telah bunuh diri dengan menelan racun. Meskipun ia segera dilarikan ke Seoul Medical Centre segera setelah ia ditemukan meminum racun, dokter tidak dapat menyelamatkannya.


Pemakamannya masih dalam tahap perencanaan.

Korean Stars To Feature in Osaka Charity Concert

A star-studded gathering of up-and-coming "hallyu" artists will all appear on the 7th of June at a special charity event in Osaka's Kyocera Dome. The concert will be organised by Korean broadcaster SBS.

On the day of the "Seoul-Osaka Music of Heart 2011 FIGHTING JAPAN!" show, charity merchandise and goods will be sold in and around the venue, and the money raised from these goods will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross in order to help rebuild and rehouse areas affected by the earthquake.

With the phrase "Fighting Japan!" as it's theme, many popular K-Pop groups have signed up to show their support, including 2PM, 4Minute, MBLAQ, T-ara, Tohoshinki and U-Kiss.

After School's Photo Teaser

Today, After School announced their comeback album titled, "Virgin". If you'd like to see a photo teaser featuring Yi Young, click on the link for more info.

Though only one photo teaser but, the others will be released over the coming days. The concept of the photo release will be based on 'generations' therefore, splitting the group's photo teaser into four teams.

The album will be released on the 29th of April, 2011.

Block B debuts with ‘Freeze’ on Music Bank

Back in February, veteran rapper/producer Cho PD announced that he was going to unleash a new boy band named Block B. The boys trained with some of the biggest names in the hip hop scene likeVerbal Jint and Rhymer before finally debuting on today’s episode of “Music Bank“!

The seven member team is led by main rappers Zico and Kyung, “Birth of a Great Star” contestant and main vocalist Taeil, sub-rapper P.O, and sub-vocals Jaehyo, U-Kwon, and B-Bomb. Their debut album was produced entirely by leader Zico and Kyung.

Their title track, "Freeze", is an electronic hip hop track that aims to showcase the talent of each and every member.
