While the Mustang car becomes fréquentable in 1979, Mercury receives a new variant, this time called Capri. An ultra-exclusive version was introduced in 1984, available in coupe and convertible, manufactured by ASC. Suspension refined, special wheels and roof specifically for convertibles (completely different from that of the Mustang convertible) are among the distinctions of this model.
